Timeless takes time.

Artist Series: Chad Robertson

Since 2006, Chad Robertson and his partner Emily Robertson have run the enviable
furniture and design firm, CHADHAUS here in Seattle. Founded on the principles of
thoughtful design and craft combined with locally sourced materials, the pieces that bear
the CHADHAUS name are the kind that become treasured family heirlooms. We also happen to be lucky enough to call these folks our longtime friends.

Located in the Ballard Brewery District in Seattle, Chadhaus operates out of a small workshop and studio where raw slabs become clean-lined tables and beds, and recycled steel is given a second life.

Hand-selecting sustainably harvested Pacific Northwest woods and recycled steel manufactured in Seattle, every Chadhaus piece is designed, cut, and finished under one roof. In the shop, the work is thoughtfully designed and crafted for simplicity, functionality, and to age with grace.

Creating 3 dimensional works of art combined with a user-friendly form that showcases the raw beauty of wood and steel are the fundamental elements of a Chadhaus piece.

Our recent visit to Chadhaus HQ captured Chad on the shop floor in some Freeman pieces that are built around the kind days that Chad has on a weekly basis. On the shop floor in a Studio Coat for a few hours then in the office or off to a meeting in a flannel button up.
