Ribbed Field Coat
When it comes to wool overcoats, most folks find themselves in one of two camps: you're either a peacot kind of person, or of the rugged Filson/Woolrich-esque persuasion. We at Freeman are supporters of both camps, but when we saw the new Ribbed Field Coat from Dehen, we knew that the former binary of wool coats was now a thing of the past. Having been big fans of Dehen for some time now, this piece cements our belief that they are truly a treasure. Perhaps one of the best-fitting items we've had the privilege of carrying, the Ribbed Field Coat lands perfectly in its own unique category of wool overcoats. It straddles the line between rugged and urban, built heavily with simple functional details, while combining a quilted sateen liner to really polish up the whole coat. The ribbed accents at the collar and cuff yield a comfortable feel for those who find wool a little itchy, while also keeping things snug at points of heat loss. Built by a family that has been doing things right for nearly a century, this is the kind of jacket you will own for decades.
