Crescent Down Works
Diagonal Quilt Down Jacket - Black
I recall a time thinking I could be a down jacket kind of guy, but after trying so many potential candidates, I came to realize that this may be a dream and nothing more. From overly stuffed construction, to poor fit, every down jacket I tried seemed to always send the same message: we aren't for you. Enter the Crescent Down Works Diagonal Quilt Down Jacket: here to prove me wrong (finally). Made just for us by Crescent Down Works, we used their classic quilted down sweater as the base and then added a snap-front zipper flap placket to make it more jacket-like. This is the elusive down jacket you (and I) have been looking for. The fit is perfectly comfortable without excessive roominess. The premium down, devoid of quills (the pokey parts in a lot of down), results in an extremely light, quick-to-rebound fill that provides superior insulation with minimal bulk. Fun fact: the method for evaluating the down fill was developed by Crescent Down Works – so rest assured, the fill going into each jacket has been scrutinized by the best. Each jacket is carefully sewn right here in Seattle using a water-resistant 60/40 cotton-nylon blend outer and streak-free liner. The quilted exterior results in a down jacket that is not overly puffy while looking extremely timeless. Finished off with a ribbed collar and cuffs that further aid in a sleek look, the Diagonal Quilt Down Jacket is everything I dreamed a down jacket could be (granted, we had to commission custom jackets to achieve this, but it was totally worth it!). We hope you love this as much as we do.
