Introducing: Anonymousism

Posted: Sep 07 2017

A store favorite for as long as we've been a store, we couldn't be more excited to introduce the newest brand to the Freeman lineup: Anonymousism, a storied Japanese sock brand that sets the gold standard for comfortable, beautiful socks. Hailed as "Japan's Master Sock Makers," Anonymousism crafts its socks on vintage, 1970s-era machines that work slowly and meticulously, only capable of producing 50 pairs per day. The brand uses only the highest quality yarns for its beautifully-patterned, brightly-colored socks, yielding a truly distinct style that's instantly recognizable.

We've been fans of Anonymousism since well before our doors ever opened, so we're quite pleased to have them on our shelves. Here are a few of our favorites that we've got here at the store – click here to shop the entire Anonymousism fall collection!

The Slub Crew might be Anonymousism's most iconic – and most popular – style. Featuring a melange knit that results in a beautiful, slubby texture, it's a crew-length cotton sock that you'll want to wear year round. We've got the Slub Crew in four beautiful colors – just a guess but you'll probably want one of each.

The OD Pile Crew defies logic – we've never laid hands on a sock this cushy, thick and soft. Made from the most comfortable acrylic-blend knit imaginable, these will keep those toes warm for many winters to come while feeling like they're made of some magical mix of clouds and puppy kisses. They're that soft.

Lastly, we've got the Pique Rib Crew with some serious Hemingway-esque, fisherman's sweater vibes. The soft, textured knit on this cotton-poly blend is so classic, yet the navy melange color gives it a contemporary feel that we absolutely love.

And that's just a few of what we have! Head here to see the entire Anonymousism collection – we hope you're as excited about these Japanese sock masters as we are.
